MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR 2013 CLARKSON CUP IN MARKHAM, ONT., NOW AVAILABLE

MARKHAM, Ont. – Media can now request accreditation for the 2013 Clarkson Cup, presented by Scotiabank, taking place March 20-23 at the Centennial Community Centre.

Accreditation requests for the fifth annual Clarkson Cup, awarded annually to the team that wins the Canadian Women’s Hockey League Championship, will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, March 15, 2013. Accreditation forms are available at www.CWHL.ca or by clicking HERE. You will also find an accreditation form attached to this email.

Proper media credentials will be required for access to any of the games, the media room, the press box and any post-game access to teams, including interviews with coaches and players in the mix zone.

The Montreal Stars are looking for their third straight Clarkson Cup win, with the Alberta Hockey Club, Boston Blades, Brampton Thunder and Toronto Furies also battling this season for 2013 Canadian Women’s Hockey League bragging rights. The gold medal game of this year’s tournament will air on TSN/RDS on March 23. Please check your local listings for broadcast times in your area.

The Clarkson Cup is named after former Governor General of Canada Adrienne Clarkson and the trophy itself is quickly becoming known as The Stanley Cup of women’s hockey.
